           最新一代精确制导弹药GBU-39小直径炸弹近期正式列装空军部队. 该武器为250磅级别, 是迄今为止当量最小的精确炸弹, 适用于人口密集地区作战. 其高空投掷射程达到70公里, 是JDAM一倍, 并使用了钻透能力更强的弹头, 精确度和反GPS干挠力度也强于之前的制导武器

前世界上有4种隐形巡航导弹: MBDA欧洲导弹公司风暴影, EADS公司金牛星,  波音公司ACM, 洛马公司JASSM. ACM射程近3000公里, 远远超过其他型号. 但它是战略导弹, 只能装核武器, 无法用于常规精确打击.其他三种导弹性能接近, 射程350公里上下, 可在绝大多数防空系统导弹防区之外发射. JASSM被美军所采纳, 其增程型(JASSM-ER)在体型未变情况下把射程提高一倍至950公里, 基本上到达了战斧水平. JASSM体长却不到5米, 比战斧缩小了~20%, 更加适合用于航空平台发射. JASSM的1000磅级战斗部适用于打击高价值高风险目标. 主要缺点是穿透力比起同类别导弹(如金牛星)有所不足, 无双向数据链, 无法改变目标或锁定机动目标.

           袭朝鲜伊郎初期, 特别是未掌握制空权之前, 隐形平台具备独一无二的突防优势, F-22A极可能将被首度投入使用. 一架次F-22A内部机仓最多可携带8枚SDB小直径炸弹, SDB的战斗部是一种全新钻地弹头, 穿透力据称可达到2000磅级别的BLU-109, 而SDB只有250磅, 可见钻地弹在过去15年内已有显著发展.

W80是热核武器既平时所称的氢弹设计, 威力可调整在5000-15万吨TNT当量之间. 以图中显示的10枚ALCM和3枚ACM计算, 一架次B-52H就可投放近200万吨TNT当量核弹, 这还不包括飞机内部携带的额外B61或B83引力核炸弹, 基本上能把朝鲜炸平了. 相比较而言, 二战美军B-26轰炸机对日本核打击, 在广岛投下的MK1原子弹(小男孩)为13000吨TNT当量, 在长崎投下的MK3原子弹(胖子)为21000吨TNT当量. 由此可见, 所谓朝鲜核威胁美国是不存在的, 美国完全可以先发制人将其彻底摧毁. 美国所惧怕的乃是朝鲜向恐怖组织输出核武器技术, 而美国本身再强大的核武库对"基地"这类非国家团体是没有任何威摄作用的.
